Reverse scoring

Reverse scoring guarantees a perfectly functioning opening action for one-piece packaging. Clean tearing edges result in a perfect product presentation.

In addition, there is a great degree of flexibility in the arrangement of the scorings, enabling the realisation of creative and individual opening techniques and forms. For example, low front facing, wave-form or curving scoring contours can easily be effected for optimum product presentation.

Reverse scoring is a combination of front and back scoring. The positive scoring cuts 50% into the material while the reverse scoring also cuts 50% into the material. As we keep a distance between the positive and the negative scoring positions, the material will keep its full basic strength. Once pressure is applied on one of the scoring positions you can easily open the pack, giving clean tearing edges.

The material is separated in the recycled fibre filling.

Clean tearing edges is the result.
